I'm Sarah, a silversmith based in Somerset, in the south west of England. I design and make unique pieces of jewellery using silver, copper & brass.
I set decorative glass, sea glass and vintage pottery in my jewellery. I love the vivid colours of decorative glass, I can happily spend hours beach combing for sea glass, and on my walks in the countryside, I'll always be on the look out for old pottery shards which can often be found in ploughed fields or hidden away in Victorian bottle dumps. The patterns on old pottery can be lovely and look stunning when set in silver.
Somerset is a beautiful county full of myth and legend, where the imprint of ancient times is all around. An exquisitely decorated silver & copper Early Medieval Disc Brooch was found close to my village, and the workmanship is stunning. It is an inspiring piece of jewellery!
All the silver I use is recycled.
